Real Techniques says that the "rounded sides blend large areas of the face with a dabbing motion" and the "precision tip covers blemishes and imperfections" and the "flat edge is for contouring around the eyes and nose."
Real Techniques says this sponge is "ideal for liquid foundation' and is latex-free and that for best results, replace your makeup sponge every 1-3 months.
The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is available for $4.88 at Walmart, $5.99 at Target, $6.99 at Ulta and $6 on realtechniques.com. It is also available for £7.99 at Boots.
Here is my experience with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.
I was so excited to finally get one of these sponges! I have been wanting one forever and I'm heard a lot of people say they love them.
I've never used a makeup sponge before so I didn't really know what to expect.
So I used the tapping method I've heard a lot of people talk about and I love it! My foundation came out smooth and it was blended well. I also used it for my concealer and really loved it.
I use mine dry since I like full coverage and a matte finish and I love it!
My makeup with the foundation and concealer applied with the Miracle sponge:
The sponge is soft and isn't scratch like you might think. It is super squishy but firm at the same time.
It washed out easily and dries fast! I wash it after every use as recommended. I think the 3 month replacement recommendation is because of germs but I think if you clean it well and it is for one person's use you should be fine for a little longer.
I love the way it applies my makeup! It is the only thing I'll be using for my foundation for a long time. Looks like I'll be buying a big pack. They sell 6 packs now!
Was it worth the hype? I think so. I love this thing! Once you get used to applying it with the tapping technique it's really easy and the foundation looks great!
Was it worth the price? $6 for a sponge can seem high but I really love it! If you are worried about it being overpriced I think you might want to go for a bigger back since you can get 2 for $9 or like 6 for $14 or something.
I love this sponge! It applies my foundation beautifully and is really soft! I'll be using these sponges for a long time!
That's it for this review. Thanks so much for giving it a read! I hope you enjoyed! Have you tried the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge? What did you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
